Download the declaratory statement from the State Fire Marshal’s Office on whether or not an owner/builder (who was also a plumber in this case, but that is notwithstanding) can install their own fire sprinkler system in their own home.  Here, the SFMO states unequivocally that no, they cannot.  ONLY a licensed contr I, II or IV may install residential fire sprinklers.
